ABOUT US
Who We Are
—
Accelerated Muscle Biotechnologies (AMB) is primarily a contract research organization that strives to provide access and support to muscle researchers with particular focus on physiological structure function characterizations including muscle functional assays and small-angle X-ray diffraction. At our core, we’re a team of career research scientists in skeletal and cardiac muscle mechanics and exercise physiology. Our additional mission includes working with government partners to accelerate the integration of high throughput muscle X-ray diffraction into academic, biotech, and healthcare markets. Finally, we function as a research institution, supporting the academic interests of our scientists, who pursue independent academic projects with colleagues via grants (e.g. NIH, ERC, etc).
Our Services
—
AMB provides comprehensive services for muscle X-ray diffraction and muscle fiber Experimentations.
Muscle X-ray Diffraction
Our team of muscle and X-ray diffraction scientists is ready to jump in and assist or completely manage all stages of muscle diffraction experiments at various locations around the world.
Muscle Fiber Experimentation
In our laboratories, we carry out many of the most important muscle fiber experiments for our clients and collaboration partners and indeed support our staff scientists to continue their own personal research interests.

Location: P03 beamline, PetraIII synchrotron, DESY, Hamburg
What People Are Saying
“Accelerated Muscle Biotechnologies (AMB) has been a game-changer for my research. AMB has allowed me to use sophisticated structural methods that would otherwise be difficult or impossible for me to pursue on my own. Their professional and knowledgeable staff of researchers and scientists are a joy to work with starting from project design all the way to data collection, analysis, and publication. In addition, AMB has provided training and support for graduate students, postdocs, and technicians in my lab, thus extending valuable training opportunities for all my lab members. I therefore highly recommend AMB to other Principal Investigators who would like to add X-ray scattering methods to their experimental toolkit while providing unique opportunities for their trainees.”
